First, Kumamoto castle is the one of the most famous castle. It was built in 1588 by Kato Kiyomasa. The spread of this castle is 980,000 ㎡ superficial. When the Seinan war is happened in 1877, castle tower and other main part of castle was burned. So, Kumamoto castle was built again in 1960.
There are many cherry blossom trees, so in the spring, we can see beautiful view. A lot of people do OHANAMI, I went ohanami with my friends this spring. I saw beautiful cherry blossoms.
If you have a chance, you might want to go there!Second, Mt. Aso has a first-class caldera. In caldera, there is Nakadake crater which is volcanic activity now. 600M in diameter and depth of the crater is 130M. Mt.Aso and its neighboring area has a rich natural environment. You can see beautiful green, and can relax.
Third, There are many hot springs in Kumamoto. One of the most famous hot spring is Kurokawa-onsen in Minami Oguni. A tasteful open-air bath is really attractive.Finally, Aso farm land is the tourist attraction in Kumamoto. You can enjoy eating, taking a bath and buying souvenir. You can see the outline of Mt. Aso from this cottage. The night view is so wonderful. I went there with my friends in last spring. The air is really clean, so I felt very relax. You can stay there very reasonable price!
